for us the nature is a resource - we aim to live i harmony with it!

Our restaurant serves organic and local food with pure tastes!

Our main providers:
- The beef comes from Holmo Uppgård( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

- Lamb comes from Skeppargården in Parainen, organic and tasty meat, www.skeppargarden.fi
- The fish is fished in the Archipelago Sea by the Rosin family ( from Aspholm)and smoked fish comes from Börjes Fisk, Börje Öhman from Pensar
- The vegetables comes from several smaller providers in the archipelago (Pensar, Kuggö, Pargas, Nagu) and lovely soft onions from Sellmo grown by Sverker Engström in Nagu.

- BREAD - we love good bread! We bake with wild yeast and starters and organic flour from Mörby Gård (www.morby.fi ). Aromatic fresh bread baked by hand!
- Cheeses also have a place i our hearts. The best organic cheeses we have found in Spain, imported to Finland by Vino Fino (www.vinofinofinland.com), not local but still organic. 2011 we hope to be able to serve cheese from Gotland (Sweden) from Stafva Gård, also delicate cheeses. www.stafva.se

- Naturally we also have mushroom, berries and wild herbes from the forest. And we have a herb garden of our own.

- Big difference in eggs - try our organic eggs at breakfast

We make our own fonds/stocks and try to minimize all additives.

Clean Accommodation!

We clean our apartments and villas with fibre cloths and olivesoap. The sheets and othe laundry we wash in orangesoap. With theese actions we guarantee that we have no fosfor poluting the sea.

Waste management

Eat organic food and let it pass through your body to then come out again as organic raw material for the nature! For this purpose we offer you ecological Dry Toilets, DT.

Other waste we separate; metal-, glass-, plastic- and paperwaste. And biowaste from the restaurant is composted.

With these and other actions we try to enable us to live in a clean environment also in the future!

The Archipelago National park & PANparks

Our neighbour, Archipelago National park, a PAN Park since 2008, offers a great possibility to feel the harmony between man and nature. Look at www.outdoors.fi ! Pensar Syd is a Local business partner certified by the PanParks organisation and work in co-operation with the Archipelago National park.

History

1930-1944 Pensar Syd was a training area for the civil guard (for men) - Skyddskåren and the organisation Lotta Svärd (for women). Our buildings are from the 1930:s, except for our smaller sauna. We have on our premises a unic monument risen by the civil guard of the archipelago in 1938. Risen to honour the battles fought in the archipelago 1918, during the Finnish civil war.

This year our Tradition day is 14/8. In the restaurant we serve Lotta Svärd buffé, 28€, and on the house we offer Lotta and her promise walks at 11.30 and 15.00. Welcome!
